The royal family will walk to St George’s Chapel on Sunday, March 31st, from Windsor Castle to attend a customary Easter ceremony. Since both the Princess of Wales and King Charles are receiving cancer treatment, it is still unknown who will be present. Kate is rumored to be spending the holiday alone as she concentrates on her recuperation, despite Charles being expected to make an appearance. According to sources, the Princess moved from her Windsor house, Adelaide Cottage, to her Norfolk country estate.
Since the British monarch is also the highest authority within the Church of England, the Easter appearance in Windsor has been a yearly ritual for many years. The formal title of King Charles is “Charles the Third, King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of His other Realms and Territories.” It is an integral aspect of the work to attend mass on a high holy day.
Additionally, the Windsors always dress beautifully when they take on a public role. Everyone has dressed colorfully for springtime to St. George’s, including Diana, Princess of Wales and Queen Elizabeth, all complete with striking hats. In contrast, the Wales family has always displayed an endless taste for different blue tones. Kate has donned pieces by Emilia Wickstead, Catherine Walker, and Alexander McQueen in the past few years.
Diana comes next. She frequently used black trim or accessories to highlight her ensembles in the 1980s and early 1990s; this was a fashion-forward decision in contrast to the pastel suits that were popular at the time and worn by royal ladies.
